HLF Meets with Thema Drake

On March 11, 2007, at the residence of Wellinthon Muñoz and Mavel Velasco, the Hispanic Leadership Forum met with Second District of Virginia, Congresswoman Thelma Drake. During this meeting, members of the Hispanic Leadership Forum and members of the Hampton Roads Community had the opportunity to ask Drake questions about issues that pertain to the Hispanic Community in the Hampton Roads area. These issues include health, education, immigration and discrimination. At the same time, Drake had the opportunity to meet the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Leadership Forum.

About Us
The Hispanic Leadership Forum is a nonprofit organization comprised of members from the professional and business community of the Hampton Roads area. The primary mission of the Hispanic Leadership Forum is service to the community with a special focus on education for its youth and the Hispanic community. The Hispanic Leadership Forum also provides the Latino/Hispanic population with opportunities to explore ways to preserve and maintain their cultural and family heritage and to facilitate dialogue with all members of our Hampton Roads community.
